World Series review

After an exhausting 7 game saries between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cards are now 2011 World Series Champions. The Cardinals now have 11 World Series titles.

Hometown hero David Freese hit a two-run double in the 1st after Texas led 2-0 to tie the game at 2-2. Chris Carpenter pitched 6 innings and got the win as the Cardinals would eventually win 6-2.

Freese was named Series MVP, in addition to his Game 6 highlits that forced Game 7 as the Cardinals were down to their last strike in Game 6.

What's unknown is if Albert Pujols will return to St. Louis next year or if he will be a free agent.
